CRAB REVIVAL
Sunday
9:30am – 11:00am
Gateway Pavilion

Come on down to the Gateway Pavilion for the annual Crab Revival where the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival will be dishing up more than just delicious crustaceans. The whole family is invited for a big serving of gospel music and community spirit! Michael Rivers, Director of the CrabFest Revival, will welcome you with sing along songs and then invite you to listen to the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers and the “Little Brass Band” as they perform their joyful version of the Good News. After performances by the choir and the “Band”, Michael will offer encouraging words of peace and lead the “congregation” in more traditional sing along songs. This uplifting program will conclude with a blessing for the day. After the program, the Festival is completely up and running, so plan to wander the Arts & Crafts booths or take in some fabulous food and entertainment at the Crab Central Pavilion.

The Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers
PMGS is a group of men who love to sing. They represent over a half dozen churches and denominations on the Olympic Peninsula and perform wherever there is an audience ready to enjoy good news in song. Now in their 19th season and under the direction of founder Michael Rivers, the group performs traditional and contemporary gospel music. It’s a real treat to hear these men’s voices. Accompanied by Penny Hall, the Singers create music that is enjoyable for all ages! Karen Coles will provide signing for the hearing impaired.

PMGS Brass BandPMGS Little Brass Band
Several seasons ago Director Michael asked his singers how many of them played band instruments at one time in their lives. Several tentative hands went slowly up in the air… and the Little Brass Band was born. One member refused to tell his spouse that he was playing in the group for fear she would skip the next concert… but he need not have worried, as the group proved to be a hit with audiences and has inspired big smiles, hand claps and boisterous singing!
