9:00am – 10:30am
Come on down to the Gateway Pavilion for the annual Crab Revival where the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival will be dishing up more than just delicious crustaceans! Your whole family is invited for a big serving of gospel music, joy, community spirit and breakfast! Director of the CrabFest Revival, Michael Rivers, will welcome one and all with sing along songs and then introduce the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers and the CrabFest Revival Choir. After performances by the choirs, Michael will offer words of peace and lead the “congregation” in more favorites, old and new. This uplifting program will conclude with a sing along of familiar hymns and a blessing for the day. After the program, the Festival is off and running, so plan to stay to enjoy visiting the Arts & Crafts booths and the fabulous food and entertainment Crab Central tent.
The Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers is a group of men who love to sing. They represent over a half dozen churches and denominations on the Olympic Peninsula and perform wherever there is an audience ready to enjoy good news in song! Now in their 16th season and under the direction of founder Michael Rivers, the group performs traditional and contemporary gospel music. It’s a real treat to hear these men’s voices. Accompanied by Penny Hall and singer Karen Coles, the Singers create music that is enjoyable for all ages!
The CrabFest Revival Choir is a select group of high school and college students and adult singers from Clallam County. They rehearse once a week and perform 3 or 4 times a season. The collaboration between students and adults is a blessing for both the singers and their audience. The group takes great joy in learning and presenting beautiful gospel music.
