WELCOME

CrabFest welcomes each and every one of you to one of the best seafood festivals in the country. Located on the Port Angeles waterfront, CrabFest is the annual celebration of the Olympic Peninsula’s diverse bounty — the seafood, agriculture and aquaculture, maritime history, cultural traditions and the breathtaking coastal environment. Just a few miles from Dungeness Bay, this is the home of the Dungeness crab where we celebrate the region’s famed crustacean and Olympic Peninsula cuisine. Enjoy the abundance of the Olympic Peninsula, its communities, and all that the Festival has to offer!

Welcoming Ceremony

We always begin the Festival with the blessing of the first peoples. Local officials and Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and members will welcome the festival at 11 am on Saturday at the Gateway Pavilion with the Lower Elwha Song & Drum Group, traditional stories and songs, sponsored by Lower Elwha Food & Fuel and the Elwha River Casino.

About CrabFest

The Dungeness Crab Festival is the annual celebration of the region’s diverse bounty – the seafood, the maritime and cultural traditions and the breathtaking coastal environment. The Festival’s featured crustacean, the Dungeness Crab, was named after the village of Dungeness, near Port Angeles, Washington. The Festival is located at the Port Angeles City Pier and the Red Lion Hotel overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Victoria, British Columbia just a ferry ride away.
