The event starts at Hollywood Beach and features an “out-and-back” route. Pre-registration is available through the Peninsula College Foundation through Oct. 1 Race-day registration begins at 10:30 a.m. The event is a fund raiser for Pirate women’s basketball. The entry fee is $25 prior to Oct. 1 and $30 after that date and on race day and includes a T-shirt, a coupon for the Crab Derby and a coupon for $5.00 off a crab dinner.  Race day participants may have a limited selection of T-shirt sizes. Peninsula College has been a proud partner with the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival for many years. The Pirate women’s basketball team hosts a 5K Crab Fest Fun Run/Walk every year, the Pirate men’s basketball team annually assists with the always popular Crab Derby, while the NWAACC champion and nationally ranked soccer program assists each night with maintaining the festival grounds.
