Carol Gentry Joins CrabFest Staff
Carol Gentry, formerly employed in administrative capacities with North Olympic Library System, Gentry Architecture Collaborative, and Clallam County Family YMCA, has joined the Port Angeles Crab and Seafood Festival staff as Operations Manager, reporting directly to Executive Director, Scott Nagel. “With her extensive background”, Nagel said, “she’ll be able to hit the ground running and help improve our structure and management while building on the long-time contributions of Mickie Vail who has decided to take some well-earned time for herself.”
Gentry, who, from 1992-2002 was instrumental in helping the Clallam County Family YMCA manage financials and membership growth, is currently a core volunteer for Captain Joseph House and is involved in several community organizations including Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles, Dream Playground and the Center for Community Design. Nagel said “Gentry’s contribution to Port Angeles is long and impactful—we are very fortunate to have her skills and dedication at the festival.”
Her work with “CrabFest” includes administration, finance, interfacing with key organizations, and representing the event at community meetings, as well as sponsorship support and website management. Additionally, Gentry will work with Nagel on other programs and projects.
